This is something the character of Gimli says in “Lord of the Rings”, but it definitely was NOT in reference to the, dare-I-say, “meet-cute” between Stella – a human woman repressed by the benchmarks of society – and Silfast – a wandering, goddess-fearing, orc warrior.
When Stella realizes she’s astride an ancient altar dedicated to the goddess of Bautul, Silfast’s monstrous warmth fills every one of her empty chasms, including the one in her heart.
For Silfast, this may be a cleansing a sacrifice he’s aiding in, but for Stella, it’s her rebirth.
